I wanted my own website to not be about me, but rather the experience. I'm just a foolish guy who wasted most of his life trying to define life. I am not the first person to declare that fly fishing only appears to be about catching fish. We are actually seeking those moments of epiphany, but such things leave one with nothing in the hand and little which from memory we could use to define or express the nature of the experience. So this is no criticism of sites like this one that approach the subject from the more tangible and rewarding direction of friendship, mutual interest, and shared concern. As for me being an artist, I have started a half dozen paintings in the last couple years and completed none of them. Currently, I am learning an open source 3D modeling program called Blender. Some of the art in the gallery section of Blender's website is really first rate, and what I mean by that is; if you asked me why I believe in the existence of immaterial persons, I could point to the art of the great Impressionists or the later Expressionists and ask if one's reaction to these images was simply brain chemistry responding to stimuli, but I think many of these artists working with new, and more expressive technologies can support that point in a more emphatic way.
